About Me

Hi, I’m Heidi Maunder, a Sydney-based landscape and abstract artist, living with my husband and our two young children.

My love for painting is rooted in a deep connection to the natural world, memories of my childhood in Western Australia, and the places I’ve been lucky enough to explore around the world. Working with acrylics, oil sticks and pigment, my practice moves between detailed landscapes, light-filled meadows and layered, earthy abstracts. I’m drawn to the beauty, colour and quiet magic of nature.

In 2024, I held my first solo exhibition, Wildflower, at Northern Beaches Gallery. Since then, my practice has continued to grow through group exhibitions and an ongoing exploration of new techniques. I have been named a finalist in the Omnia Art Prize, Harden Art Prize, Unearthed Art Prize and Inside This Box Prize.

My work was featured on The Block in 2025 and is now held in private collections across Australia and internationally. Exhibiting at the Affordable Art Fair Sydney in 2025 was a wonderful milestone, giving me the opportunity to meet new collectors and share my growing collection of meadows and abstracts.

Creating Reya Collective in 2026 marks an exciting new chapter in my journey. I’m looking forward to presenting my largest body of work yet at the Affordable Art Fair Sydney this November.

I feel incredibly grateful to be able to share my work and to connect with people who find something meaningful in my paintings. If you’d like to chat about a commission or collaboration, I’d love to hear from you.
